OT Topic for today: How come everything illegal ain't bad?
How and what guidelines make some things 'okay' and other things 'just dead wrong'? If it's illegal, shouldn't it all be bad?
I personally have always kept the white/blue collar rule. White collar crimes don't physically hurt someone - they ain't as 'bad' to me, when you start physically hurting folk, then you need to spend some time in concrete and steel.
What say you???

Have you fallen and bumped your pretty little head? You know katz and sistas are on this board with everything from warrants, parole violations, and two strikes against them. You know they can't be admitting that what they "mighta did" ain't really all that illegal? Da man might be watchin!

Nahmean?
Is BAF now the new get-indicted hotline or sumpin?
If you have no conscious and did something bad and don't care who you hurt or who gets hurt in the process then that's just terrible and dead wrong. Then your azz deserves to be locked up and the key thrown away.
Just my 2 cents.
I think for me there is that gray area that I use to justify breaking a "little" law every now and then. I usually will speed but most times only up to the 4 miles so that I will not get a ticket. if I am going down a hill...I will speed a tad more because gravity serves very well as an excuse....lol. Since laws differ from state to state, I also think this leaves room for folks to have more "confusion" as to what is really morally wrong vs legally wrong. For example on my trip to GA...I was very happy with the 70 miles an hour speed limits...which of course meant that I could go 74mph on cruise. I do agree that I draw the line on breaking any any law that could potentially hurt others.... If I were to speed past 75 in this instance...get in an accident....I would not only potentially get a ticket and harm others but I would also have a lot of guilt. So for me guilt feelings help me draw the line.
Those that don't have guilt or any other regard for others as a buffer...are the ones out there doing all kinds of ish....and definitely should spend time behind bars to protect society.
There are some crimes that I consider the very worst and absolutely deserve jail time.
- Physical (including sexual) assault and murder are at the top of the list.
- Next would come taking advantage of and/or abusing the weak and vulnerable; i.e. children, women, elderly, poor, mentally challenged, animals - Putting others at risk by doing stupid stuff like drunk driving Regarding white collar criminals, personally, I think that's a term these crooks created to elevate themselves to a more "elite" class of criminal. Even though Bernard Madoff didn't use a gun to rob them, he hurt a lot of people.

Hey MM, I hear you. However, I do believe that wrong is wrong, no matter how we try to rationalize it. Someone always gets hurt in the process. Looking at white collar crime, no it's not violent, but someone always gets hurt regardless. Example, embezzlement. No matter how you factor it, someones money got stolen and usually, it's the little person who invested for years, planning on living on that in retirement. Now they are penniless.
Okay, hittin' a little weed. Someone grew it (and I'm not talking about some small plants somebody in the US got hidden behind the sunflower plants). I'm talking the billion dollar drug trade business. Usually the farming of it and all it's back breaking labor fell on some poor, enslaved family trying to survive. Then comes the transporting of it. The absolutely unbelievable, horrific, gruesome things these drug lords have done to get there product out. Murdering babies and stuffing the body cavity with drugs to transport it in a casket. Having children swallow bags of cocaine and such and have them driven across state lines. I won't go on but I could.
Driving a little over the speed limit. I won't describe the carnage that happens when someone, just driving 30 miles per hour can do when running into another object. Never mind, doing a buck on the freeway and slamming into innocent people. It's like an explosion, fragments everywhere!
So...wrong is wrong. Someone always gets hurt.

Imma holla at my brake pedal on the speeding thing tho...... ummm - see, what had happen..... oh nevermind! LMAOOOOOO
